Biography
Chase Bailey is a scientist at the University of South Carolina Child Development Research Center (CDRC) and a doctoral candidate in educational psychology at the University of South Carolina. He holds a master’s degree in educational psychology from the University of South Carolina and a bachelor’s in economics from Brigham Young University.
Prior to joining the CDRC, Bailey worked as a statistical and research analyst for the Children’s Law Center at the University of South Carolina Joseph F. Rice School of Law. He has also taught undergraduate courses on educational psychology for preservice teachers at the University of South Carolina College of Education and previously taught secondary-level mathematics.
His methodological expertise includes Geographic Information Systems (GIS) analysis, large-scale data analysis, correlational and multivariate analysis, nonparametric statistics, and test measurement.
His research interests include child care and employment accessibility, with an emphasis on policy-driven solutions that expand access to evidence-based programs supporting academic motivation, critical thinking, and community belonging at all levels of child care.
